Siapa Kami

Aloha Cruise Academy is a professional training institution for future land-based hotelier and cruise ship staff located in Magelang Regency of Central Java Province, Indonesia. This institution was established on November 19, 2019 by Muhammad Hawas, S.Pd.I. and Agni Kusti Kinasih, S.Pd., M.Hum.

The establishment of Aloha Cruise Academy was initiated from Muhammad Hawas concern towards the high unemployment rate among young people of productive age in Indonesia ranging from 18 to 35 years old. Muhammad Hawas is a highly-experienced hotelier who had been working for some land-based hotels and cruise line companies since 2006 such as Sahid Hotel Yogyakarta, Grand Dafam Rohan Syariah Hotel Yogyakarta, Holland America Line, Ponant Yacht Expedition Cruise Line, and Disney Cruise Line. Meanwhile, Agni Kusti Kinasih was a long-timed English instructor in some private universities and colleges in Indonesia.

Becoming a Job Training Institute that educates and trains prospective hotel and cruise ship workers who are professional and ready to work with training competency standards that are in accordance with the local and international hotel and cruise ship needs.

Objectives

Aloha Cruise Academy is established in order to help the government reduce unemployment, especially in the Central Java area and its surroundings. This institution aims at preparing prospective hotel workers and prospective cruise ship crews to be able to compete on the national and international level, providing guidance and training, applying theoretical and practical knowledge of hotel operation and placing and distributing trainees to hotel companies, restaurants in the hospitality sector, including cruise ship agents both domestically and abroad.

The next stage after the student registration process is attending the 6-month intensive training and education comprising the following required and elective competencies:

General English for Active Communication
120 minutes x 48 sessions
English for Land-based and Sea-based Hospitality

English for Marlins Test Preparation and Interview Coaching
120 minutes x 48 sessions
General Knowledge for Hotel and Cruise Ship Operation
90 minutes x 8 sessions

Basic Mandarin Chinese Language
90 minutes x 20 sessions
Basic French Language
90 minutes x 20 sessions

Student Registration Requirement

  • ✓Must have at least a high school diploma (university graduate is also acceptable)
  • ✓Must be between 18 to 30 years old
  • ✓Submit: identity card, formal 4x6 cm photograph, full-body photograph, passport, high school diploma, police clearance statement, birth certificate, family card, and doctor health statement
  • ✓Parents must sign a license letter for the student to attend the training
